Gothams newest phenom vs the not so evil Empire

Gone are the days of murderers row and Cano. Instead with these Yankees, it's the kind of players you root for, the 2nd chances of players that never lived up to the hype of their contracts. Guys that never lived up to the hype of their prospect status. Guys that wore out their welcome in another city, and some guys that are just holding on in the show for that last chance at playing this kids game in there older bodies. Let us not forget a chance at that World Series Championship so it always seems is the only goal of this franchise, even in light of the fact that the odds are stacked against them this season. Later on this evening (should the weather hold up) these ragtag Yankees will march their way up to Citifield to take on what would have been the bottom feeder of the National League East, had it not been for the thieves that run the Miami Marlin organization. This Mets squad that seems like nothing goes there way in their losses, and even when trying to score runs when Mr. Harvey takes the mound and yet they come into tonight's game with the bullseye fixed square on the mound where Mr. Harvey takes his residence when the visitors stalk the batters box. It's not just a middle game of a three game set that is at stake. Hope is at stake. The Mets have nothing to hang their hat on this season except for the brightness of a future. Lets be honest, the Yankees could get swept here and should they make a deep playoff run the only ones that will remember it are the Mets and their fanbase. How fitting should we get to watch Mr. Harvey against his childhood team, his favorite player back then you ask? Mr. Paul O'Neil, otherwise known by the late George Steinbrenner as "warrior". He will attempt to keep hope alive against this not so evil empire, that has already beat the likes of Verlander, King Felix, and David Price with this lineup. Lurking on the visitors mound this evening, only has been the best pitcher for the Yankees this season,  Mr. Hiroki Kuroda.

PUCKS

The NY Rangers tonight will try to start a comeback that is not expected to happen.  Conventional wisdom says they will be swept.  I am not a hockey aficionado by any means, but when your coach benches your star player. . The player that was the major offseason signing, signals point to a coach that has possibly lost his locker room. How long can a team play this brand of hockey that asks so much of each player committing itself to defense?  Your suppose to have one of the best goaltenders in the game in Henrik. Yet you ask your team to play so much defensive hockey,  that your players look defeated by the 3rd period. Rarely in these playoffs have we seen an offensive explosion from this team.  Just by taking the eyeball test,  common sense tells you that the best you can hope for tonight is just one win instead of an embarrassing sweep!
